Vintage White Ironstone Onion Cutting Board

This is a very pretty vintage white ironstone onion board, with a raised scalloped patterned border to the top end.

Dating to the 1950s, this lovely clean white ironstone cutting board was produced by Rosenthal. The raised border is part of their Chippendale collection. 

Ironstone cutting boards this size serve a multitude of purposes in the kitchen, for use for chopping onions and vegetables as originally intended, or as simple yet stylish small serving platters. Elegant in style, they also look stunning simply sitting on display.

This onion boards has very light scuff marks, which are more notable on the back of the board, which is unglazed. But otherwise it is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.
