Vintage 'Rough Haired Dachsund' Framed Pastel Drawing

I have a soft spot for any artwork with animals but those with dogs in always grab my attention. I think it was the eyes and those beautiful long ears on this pastel drawing which immediately drew me in.

A vintage piece, it dates to the 1980s when the artist, Susan Geere, was particularly active. Similar dog portraits have been sold previously. 

Signed by the artist in the bottom left corner, the drawing has been executed perfectly. Some light scuff marks can be seen on the mounting board, which is encased in a glass fronted gold frame. There is a small chip to the top left corner of the glass but this is small and only notable on close inspection.
