An unusually shaped plain white ironstone sugar pot, made by Grindley in the mid 20th Century.
This is a lovely piece of vintage kitchenalia. Plain ironstone sugar pots like this rarely come available, and this is also a slightly unusual shape, with wide handles and a domed lid.
Overall, this sugar jar is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. There is crazing in places, some of which has stained. This is most notable on one side of the lid. However, this adds a unique timeworn patina to the piece.
