A lovely timeworn example of a small mid 20th Century white ironstone banded cream jug or pitcher.
This creamer is a delightful little jug made by renowned makers, Melba, around 1950. These white banded cream and milk jugs are perfect for use in the modern home, and can double up as bud vases for flowers when not in use.
It is in good condition for its age, with no chips or cracks. There is crazing all over, some of which has stained. However, this has given it a unique and attractive timeworn character and it’s still perfectly usable. Other than general wear to the base rim, it is otherwise in excellent condition.
