A very nice clean example of a vintage lidded white ironstone cheese or butter dish, produced in the mid 1960s by Grimwades.
Grimwades is a renowned producer of ironstone kitchenalia. And this plain white ironstone dish is in lovely condition, perfect for many more years worth of use. The Grimwades mark appears on its base, as does the year of manufacture.
In excvellent condition, there is just some light crazing to the outside. This can also be found on the base and on the underside of the lid, where there is some light staining from where the ironstone has been in contact with dairy produce. But these don't affect its use in any way.
A great piece of vintage kitchenware which would look lovely in a kitchenalia collection or for those wanting to achieve country or farmhouse look.
