This is a lovely little wirework basket, designed to store garlic bulbs in.
French in origin, this wirework basket dates from the mid 20th Century. Petite and cute in size, it’s a really handy small size to be able to tuck into a corner of a kitchen counter. A great size for holding two to three garlic bulbs with ease.
In excellent condition, there is minimal wear and corrosion to the basket, with the exception of the handle which does have some oxidisation to it. It is still perfectly usable though.
Diameter, 10cm; Height, 13cm overall and 8cm to the top of the basket.
