A fabulous white ironstone French lidded butter dish, dating from the mid 20th Century.
This white stoneware butter dish is in excellent condition. A large example, it’s a very attractive piece for day to day use and, with its classically simple shape, would also look stunning on display in a kitchen with white or neutral decor.
In mint condition, there is just some age related wear and nibbles to the base.
