Vintage French Signed Pencil Drawings by Abel Renault

Sourced from an art dealer in Paris, these signed and framed pencil drawings by known artist Abel Renault of two French gentlemen are beautiful pieces, available for sale individually.

Abel Pierre Renault (1903-1991) was a Parisian artist who was particularly active in the post war period. These drawings are beautifully executed and capture the poise of both men perfectly.

These sketches are not named, like most pieces of his art, and came from a sketchbook - the perferated lines of the pages can be seen on the left of each picture. They were therefore possibly studies or part of his own private collection.

They have been framed in modern black frames (which could easily be replaced) but they look to date from the mid 20th Century, which would tie into when he was most active.
