Vintage French Seascape Signed Oil Painting

This is a beautiful vintage French oil painting, painted on board and dating to the mid 20th Century.

Signed by a known French artist, R. Blossier, the artist has captured a moody scene, with a sailing boat in front of a cliff top chateau. It's a beautiful piece, with lovely detailing of the windswept pine trees, the reflections of the sailing boat in the water and different tones of colouring in the rocks.

Having previously been in a frame, there is some light damage and wear to the edge of the board, including a couple of areas where the edge of the painting has fallen away. There is also a smudge stain on the left hand side of the painting. Overall, though, it's a beautiful and enchanting piece.
