Vintage French Pair of Candlesticks

A lovely worn pair of tall vintage French candlesticks, decorated with acanthus leaves.  

This large and dramatic pair of candlesticks, decorated all over with acanthus leaves, really make an impression. Made of heavy base metal (they each weight almost 2.5kg), they have a weathered and worn look to them, with some gentle discolouration to the metal after many years of use. 

There are remnants of wax on the bases of both the candlesticks, as well as some scuff and scratch marks, and some minor oxidisation in places. But these combine to add a unique patina. 

Both in good usable condition still, these candlesticks will make a wonderful decorative feature in the home.
