Vintage French Large Herisson Bouteilles - Bottle Drying Rack

Dating from the mid 20th Century, this is an excellent and sturdy example of a French bottle drying rack. Please note the spongeware coffee cups shown in the first photograph are not included in the sale of this rack (but are available to purchase separately).

Used in France to dry out bottles of wine, beer and cider after use, this sturdy metal bottle drying rack is an excellent vintage interior accessory for the home. It has 26 different hooks. In France, they are known as herisson bouteilles, due to their hedgehog shape. They are perfect for hanging mugs on.

In very good condition, there is some very light wear and oxidisation to the metalwork in places but all the original hooks are in place and there is no damage.
