Vintage French Gros Rouge - Red Wine - Bottle

A great example of an extra large French stoneware bottle ‘Gros Rouge', designed to serve red wine in.

This Charolles bottle is such an attractive piece, with the black French art deco style typography contrasting against the crisp white of the bottle. The perfect display piece. 

It is in excellent condition, with just a couple of minor firing faults where the glaze has dripped or run. 

A perfect item for adding a French country look to your interior, it is usable but would equally look nice displayed with flowers or used as candle holders.
