Vintage French Mehun Cafe Plate with Green Rim - Number 30

This is a listing for ONE mid 20th Century ironstone French serving dish.

Designed to be used in French cafés and bars, these little saucers are very difficult to source. They were used when serving drinks and small plates of food to indicate the price of the items purchased. 

These are beautiful vintage items to use as trinket plates or serving dishes in the home now. The classic French Art Deco typography really makes them stand out as unique vintage pieces.

With a dark green rim, this example was made by Mehun in the mid to late 20th Century. It has seen some use, with some minor scuff marks, most notably on the base rim. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or crazing.
