Vintage French Bread Platter with Daily Bread Motto

A wonderful example of a nicely carved vintage French bread platter, featuring a deep and intricately carved decorative border.

Ideal for display and also serving up freshly baked bread, this vintage French bread plate is in very good condition. Featuring a carved motto around its border - Donnez Nous Notre Pain Quotidien, which translates to 'Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread' - this platter also stands out in the detail of the carved wheat across the bottom half of the plate.

In overall good condition, there are a few knocks to the board in places, plus some knife marks to the back where this has been used for cutting. A hook has been added to hang this on display, but this could easily be removed.
