Vintage French Blue Enamel Tiffin Pot

The blue colouring on this antique French lidded pot just sings to me, it really is a very pretty shade.

Originally intended as a small cooking or tiffin pot, for transporting a hot lunch to work or school, this pot has weathered and worn over the years. But this makes a very attractive display piece, especially filled with flowers.

Parts of the enamel have eroded over the years, as has the handle, but it is still in solid condition with no holes. And although it is still fixed firmly, one side of the handle has come loose. Nonetheless, the vivid blue colour of this pot still prevails and it is a very attractive piece to have displayed.
