Vintage English Weathered Blue & White Striped Butter Dish

This is a worn and weathered early 20th Century blue and white striped ironstone butter dish or crock.

This circular butter dish has been well used. It’s a lovely size for a small family. The dish isn’t marked but is in a similar style to the famous TG Green cornishware range.

The butter dish is in fair condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks but it has notably been well used, and has a naturally timeworn and aged patina to it. There is crazing all over, much of which has been stained from contact with the grease of the butter. There are also additional patches of staining. The dish also has a notable dairy smell to it.

This is a very rare piece of antique kitchenalia. It's perfectly usable in a kitchen today, or would look great on display.
