A nice example of a large carved English breadboard, with a carved ‘Bread’ motto border.
This is a great example of a vintage English bread board, with bold carving around its border which was typical of its time.
Sitting flat, and with the carving of the motto, and decorative border still clearly visible, this is a decorative piece of vintage kitchenalia.
This breadboard is in fair condition. Clearly used, there are lots of knife marks to the surface of the board from use plus a small crack on one side of the board.
However, this is a rare large sized board which sits flat and is still good to use.
