Vintage English Carved Bread Board

A nice example of a large carved English breadboard, with a carved ‘Bread’ motto border.

This is a great example of a mid to late 20th Century English bread board, with bold carving around its border which was typical of its time.

Sitting flat, and with the carving of the motto and rosette details still clearly visible, this is a decorative piece of vintage kitchenalia.

This breadboard is in excellent condition. It hasn’t had a great deal of use, as the knife marks on the surface are minimal although there are a few notable surface scratches on both sides of the board and a few light stains. The carving is still crisp and clear
