This is a listing for a rarely seen example of a Cooper & Co advertising pot, dating to around 1880.

This is a lovely timeworn example of an antique English advertising pot which is very hard to come across. The logo, which is the trademark for the company, features in the middle. As well as the manufacturers name, the locations of their dairies are also given prominence - Glasgow, Liverpool and London. It was to sell their fresh cream.

Considered a piece of throwaway packaging at the time, this pot was recovered from an old Victorian dumping ground. Despite this, it is in remarkably good condition with no chips or cracks. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is light crazing all over plus some areas of staining. The top of the pot has rusty colouring and there is a grease mark to the back.

Overall, though, it’s a wonderful rare piece of antique advertising which would look lovely on display and would also make for a unique bud vase for those wanting to add a vintage or rustic look to their interior.
