Sweet Vintage Chocolate Mould - Laying Hen

A wonderful antique chocolate mould, in the shape of a hen sitting in a basket, and dating from the early part of the twentieth Century. This two part mould is perfect to add to a kitchenalia collection or to put proudly on display around the home.

Made of steel, this mould would have enabled you to make your own chocolate creations at home, with wonderful detail of the chicken's feathers and the basket weave pressed into the steel mould. 

This is a lovely piece to have on display in the home, especially at Easter time, or to make little chocolate hens with. There is some tarnishing to the steel where it has come into contact with water over the years but otherwise it is in very good condition still. Unfortunately, the original clips which held the mould together are no longer with the mould.
