Stunning Extra Large 19th Century Antique Italian Confit Pot

Sourced from the Calabrese region of Southern Italy, this is a stunning extra large antique Italian confit pot with gorgeous wear and patina to it, dating from the early 1800s. 

An Italian country piece, it would have been used for preserving different foods in a countryside property. It has taken some knocks and wear in its lifetime but this has added natural timeworn charm.

These stoneware pots are perfect for modern day decorative use. They add a rustic charm to a kitchen as a utensil pot, or look great used used for display purposes anywhere in the home. And the neutral and beige hues of this pot work well in any interior.

Considering the age of this piece, the condition of this confit pot is excellent. There are some knocks and wear to the top rim, plus timeworn surface scratches and discolouration in places. But overall the creamy hues of the glaze shine through. Coupled with its large size, it is an impressive decorative antique.
