Small Ormolu Brass Decorative Plaque

This is such a sweet decorative French antique, a beautifully crafted brass furniture pediment with an ormolu finish. A piece this size was most likely made to adorn a piece of furniture. There are holes for screws each side of the central plaque and so it can still be used for this purpose, or added to a frame or as part of shelf decoration. The sculpting on this pediment highly decorative, with foliage sweeping away from the central plaque section. Width, 7.3cm, Height, 3cm; Depth, 0.6cm
