Small Antique Florentine Framed Madonna and Child

Dating from the early 20th Century, this Christian piece would have been sold to tourists visiting religious monuments in Italy at the time.

The frame is small but beautiful, and is classically Florentine in its style with a vivid red colouring contrasting with a gold border and the depiction of pretty embellishments adorning the centre of the frame.

There his some wear to this piece, with dome of the gold edging on the top and edge of the frame scratched away. The backing to the frame is in tact but is wearing away around the edges.
