This is a listing for ONE highly collectable small Edwardian banded white ironstone storage jar for either "RICE" or "TAPIOCA", both of which are in excellent condition.

These white ironstone storage jars were popular in the early part of the twentieth Century, when foodstuffs were often sold in loose measures in local grocers shops. Both these examples are rarer smaller sized examples, which look very sweet.

The labels on both the jars are still very clear, and there are no cracks, chips or crazing on either. There is some light staining and age spots on both. This is more notable on the top rim of the Rice jar and inside of the top rim of the Currants jar. The lid of the Rice jar doesn't sit quite flush.
