A very sweet and cute set of four miniature antique white ironstone paste or ointment pots, dating from the late 19th Century or early 20th Century.
These paste pots may be tiny yet they ooze character, with timeworn crazing and age.
Sourced from France, little pots like these would originally have been used for creams or ointments, or for ink. These were discarded and were recently dug from an old French dumping ground. Therefore, they bear a timeworn charm and patina with patches of staining and crazing. There is is a small hairline on the top rim of one of the pots and a firing crack to the base of another (which would have been present since the time of production) but otherwise they are all in good solid condition.
This set of white ironstone pots will look lovely simply on display alongside candles or other vintage home decor.
