Old birdcages like this are the perfect styling accessory. This French example, in the style of an ancient classic mansion with its pitched roof and turned columns, has lots of rustic charm.

The main structure is made from wood, and the top and base sections have been painted in grey. There wood and paintwork have naturally worn over the years, creating a timeless rustic charm. All other areas of the cage, including the base, are completed with wire. The original feeder and perches are all present and, as well as having a spring operated door for birds, there is also a door at the base on one side giving access for cleaning.

This is a rustic piece with age and wear to the woode as you'd expect but it is in good sturdy condition still. There is a small area on one side where some of the wire has been removed. This could be covered, though, if you wish to use this as a bird cage. There is also a small loss on one side of a decorative dowel. A piece of wire has been added to the top should you wish to hang this.
