Rustic Stoneware 19th Century French Preserve Jar

This colouring and style of this oil preserving jar, dating from the late 19th Century, is just delightful.

Sourced from France, jars like these would typically have held oils, wine or vinegar. A country piece, it has a wonderful rustic patina.

There is no damage except for some minor nibbles around the edge of the base rim.

A lovely decorative piece for either the home or garden.
