Rustic French Wooden Box

Sourced from France, this is a very sweet rustic wooden box.

Complete with its original fittings, including a nice cast iron lock, this box is perfect for use as storage around the home. The length and size of this box suggests it was made to store candles or gloves in. However, it's perfect for a whole variety of purposes and has a lovely rustic farmhouse look to it.

With a rustic and hand made finish, this has worn over time with some light warping to the wood in places as well as some scratches and scuff marks. There are splashes of white paint or chalk too. There are also a few old worm holes to the base, but the whole piece has been treated.

A lovely decorative piece.
