Rustic French Timeworn Decorative Spindle

These distressed painted French wooden spindles would make such lovely decorative accessories around the home, ideal perhaps to add to each end of a shelf or to pop on display surrounded by smalls.

Available for sale individually, each spindle shows significant wear and age although they are both structurally sound.

The left spindle is lighter in colour and layers of white, grey and pale yellow paint can be seen where this has worn and fallen away over the years.

The right spindle has now lost most of its paintwork, revealing a bleached and distressed finish to the wood.

The original metal nails can be seen on the bottom of each of these posts, where they were perhaps attached to a shelf. These could be removed or knocked flat.
