Rustic French Hand Painted Set of Hooks

A lovely rustic French country piece in the form of a pretty painted wooden set of hooks. 

Dating from the early to mid 20th Century, deep red and black leaves and berries have been stencilled and hand painted onto the background of this set of hooks. It is a charming piece with lots of wear, but which is still very useful.  

The hooks have a very rustic feel to them, with some light wear to the background panel, and some oxidisation to the metal hooks. It appears to be a homemade piece, making the most of an old piece of wood to create this highly decorative piece. However, the hooks fit firmly in place still and there are holes at the top where this could fixed to the wall.
