Rustic French Berry Picker

A wonderful example of a rare rustic and country style wooden berry comb.

Dating to the early 20th Century, this French berry scoop is very rustic in style. With a small wooden handle and frame, the base of the scoop is made up of a comb of iron pieces, designed to be pushed through a bush to release berries and currants, making light work of berry picking!

It’s a delightful and rarely seen item which is also still a useful item in the garden or for foraging. But it would also add a rustic French country style to your home as it’s a perfect unique display piece. 

Complete with its original fittings, this berry comb is still in good solid condition. There are some patches of light staining to the wood in places but nothing substantial. The comb has also oxidised over time.
