Rustic Antique French Wooden Cutlery Tray or Trug

This antique rustic French wooden cutlery trug, dating from the early twentieth Century, has bundles of character.

This rustic wooden carrying tray is perfect for either display or use, with the wood having a rich colouring to it. 

Originally designed as a cutlery tray, this is still perfect to use for that purpose. But it would equally make for a great house tidy or organiser. It is also a great size for collecting flowers, fruit or vegetables from the garden.

As a rustic piece of simple construction, this wooden trug does show signs of its age with knocks, scrapes, wear and scratching to the original dark stain. But this does a uniquely chippy and timeworn feel to the pieces. There are also some small areas of staining. Most notably, there are old worm holes all over the tray, but most notable on the edges and top rims. But these have been treated and the trug is in good stable condition.
