Rare Set of Vintage French 'Lait' Measures

This is a very attractive set of milk measuring cups.

Made from pewter, each of the six measuring labels has a brass plaque with 'Lait' written in gothic stylised typography.

I suspect these were made with the intention of being used in a professional kitchen, but they would equally be at home in a domestic kitchen and are beautiful pieces to have on display. The long hooked handles also mean they can be hung up too.

In very good condition, there is some light wear and rubbing to some of of the labels, as well as some minor tarnishing to the pewter. There are also a few minor dents to the shaping in places, but they are all very usable.
