Rare Pink Enamel French 'Sucre' Canister

A fantastic find from France.

I adore the coloured antique enamel kitchen canisters, especially in pretty pink like this example. Sourced from France, this kitchen storage jar dates to the early 20th Century. A very pretty piece, pink canisters like these are very hard to find.

The gold typography has faded somewhat, although the label is still clearly recognisable. There are also some knocks and wear from use over the years, as to be expected with a piece of this age. Most notably, the enamel has worn and oxidised on the edge of the lid and top of the rim. There are also some black scuff marks on the top of the lid. Most of the pot, including the inside, is largely in clean condition though.
