Rare Picon Confitures d'Oranges Advertising Pot - Large Version

This is a listing for a very rare French ironstone confiture pot for Picon Confitures d'Oranges, dating from the early 20th Century. It was available in two sizes and this is the larger example.

This French advertising pot is a scarce survivor. While it does have some damage, with a crack on one side, it also has the most stunning aged buttery patina.

The natural timeworn colouring and stained crazing complement the beautiful orange decoration which surrounds the pot beautifully.

As mentioned above, there is a crack running down one side of this pot. This is stable though. And, blended with the aged look of this piece, it certainly doesn't detract from what is a very pretty piece.
