Rare Large French Trivet with Pheasant Decoration

This is a lovely rare and unusual larger sized trivet with a very pretty picture of pheasants.

A French vintage piece, in rustic condition, this highly decorative piece is perfect for many uses around the home.

The blue enamel is in a striking and beautiful tone. But it stands out because of its tiled surface, featuring a very sweet depiction of a pair of pheasants with their babies. 

Although there is some wear and loss to the enamel in places, this is mainly on the outside rim and legs. The tiled top is in lovely condition, with just some mild surface staining and oxidisation to the edge. There is also oxidisation to the underside of the trivet, but otherwise it is in good sturdy condition.
