A simple, rustic yet also rare example of a carved wooden bread fork with brass fork, dating from the 1920s or 1930s.
A nice example of a treen and brass bread fork, featuring carved detail on both sides of the handle. While it's common to see bread forks in silver or EPNS, it is quite rare to see them with wooden handles and brass forks.
This version has "Bread" carved down the front of the handle. The carving is quite simple, yet it is still very clear and makes an interesting display feature.
Ideal for adding to a collection of carved treen kitchen utensils or kitchenalia. The fork is in very good condition with very little wear.
Length, 24.5cm; Width, 4.5cm
