A wonderful early 20th Century carved Welsh breadboard, with two clear mottos on each side - for 'Bread' and 'Bara', in both the Welsh and English languages. 

It is very rare to find carved Welsh pieces in the Welsh language and this rustic antique breadboard is a lovely example.

Although simply carved, the richness of the colouring and the patination from the wear to this board really makes it stand out. With some knocks to the outer edge and lots of knife marks from use, it oozes natural rustic charm.

And while it is in used condition, it still has lots of life left in it as it sits flat and has no cracks in the board. A wonderful piece of antique Welsh kitchenalia.
