Rare Antique Victorian English Advertising Pot - Dairy Supply Company Devonshire Clotted Cream

A wonderful Victorian Devonshire clotted cream pot, made by the Dairy Supply Company, in around 1890.

This rare Victorian English advertising pot has brown transfer print typography, with lovely etched detail on the horseshoe logo and the wonderful mark of the "Dairy Supply Co London" on its base in the same colouring.

At the time they were produced, more often than not these pots were discarded. This pot has been dig from an old Victorian dump, and therefore features light crazing all over. However, overall it’s a wonderfully clean example. There are two very small and fine cracks to the top rim but these are tight and stable, and are barely noticeable.
