Rare Antique Victorian Carved Butter Stamp with Geometric Pattern

A stunning example of an antique Victorian butter stamp or mould which would also make a lovely biscuit press.

Dating from the mid to late 19th Century, this is an exceptional piece with a stunning geometric pattern. The uniformity and layering of the carving is very impressive.

Intended to imprint freshly made butter, these are also excellent for adding stunning patterns to shortbread biscuits.

This mould is in excellent condition with a rich and warm patination to the wood. There are some area of mild staining but these blend in and add to the overall patina of the piece.
