This is a stunning example of a rare miniature copper entrée or jelly mould in the shape of a clover, dating from the mid to late 19th Century.
Stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham & Froud on one side of the rim, and with the pattern number 193 on the other, it is a rarely available piece of antique kitchenalia.
Despite its small size, the clover is well defined. Made of heavy gauge copper, it is in excellent condition with no damage or splits. There are a few scuffs and a spot of tarnishing but overall it remains in very good condition. The tinning to the interior of the mould has lightly worn.
Diameter, 5.5cm; Height, 2.5cm
