Now this is a very rare piece of antique kitchenalia, which is in fantastic condition - especially considering its age and use.
A potato ricer or masher, many of these didn't survive because the ironstone would break or be damaged from regular use. This one has survived and is in lovely condition. It's not a piece of antique kitchenware you'll come across every day!
Dating to around 1900, and made by the German company DRGM, the ironstone section is in clean condition with just some surface wear and scratches to its base. There is a small surface chip to the base of the lid which presses down but this can't be seen, nor would it affect use. There is some light oxidisation and wear to the cast iron fittings too.
