Rare Antique Edwardian White Ironstone Four-Piece Drainer Bowl
Rare Antique Edwardian White Ironstone Four-Piece Drainer Bowl
A rarely seen example of a white ironstone drainer bowl, by Alfred Meakin, in around 1910.
Consisting of four parts, this bowl would have been used to wash and drain fruits or vegetables. Consisting of the base bowl, two drainer sections and the lid, it's a great little pot. It could still be put to use in the kitchen or alternatively would make an excellent trinket or jewellery pot.
In fair condition for its age, the top mini drainer plate does have a hairline crack, but there is no other damage. There is light crazing and scuff marks all over, which is very much to be expected in a piece of this age.
Overall, it’s a very attractive vintage display piece to have around the home.
