Rare Antique Edwardian J Sainsburys Bloater Paste Advertising Pot

This is a very rarely seen example of an antique ironstone advertising pot for J Sainsbury's Bloater Paste.

Dating to around 1910, the black under glazed logo on this example is very striking and still very clear. It is also an example that is also very scarce, since they only had a short production time.

This pot is in good condition for its age, especially as it was only recently dug up from an old Victorian dumping ground. There is a small chip on the base rim but there are no cracks. There is also lightly stained crazing all over, but this gives the pot a unique timeworn charm.
