A highly collectible Edwardian white ironstone storage jar for "LINSEED”, in excellent condition with its original lid.

These white ironstone storage jars were popular in the early part of the twentieth Century, when foodstuffs were often sold in loose measures in local grocers shops. The rarer "LINSEED” label on this pot, sat within a ribbon banner is still very clear and visible. The white storage jar is a great size for day to day use.

This Edwardian jar is in great overall condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a number of age spots but overall it is in clean condition. The black underglazed transfer print is a little blurred, from the time of production, but it is all clear and legible.
