This is a wonderful example of a rarely seen early 20th Century carved Welsh wooden butter dish.

This rich coloured treen butter dish is quite unique, featuring ‘Ymenyn’ - the Welsh term for butter - nicely carved into the top of the border. The depth of the carving makes it stand out in terms of quality, with it exceptionally crisp and clear.

There is some light wear to the other areas of the border but it is otherwise in excellent condition.
