This is a quality and rare piece of antique treen kitchenalia, with this butter or sugar mould featuring an excellent and deeply carved fleur de lys, the badge of the Prince of Wales.

The Prince of Wales' feathers is the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales. Based on the fleur de lys, it consists of three white ostrich feathers. A ribbon below bears the German motto, 'Ich Dien', I serve.

The Royal motif on this Victorian butter or biscuit stamp is very eye catching. The deep carved detail is exquisite and is still incredibly sharp and crisp, with the detail very striking indeed.

The mould is also in excellent overall condition, with just some surface scratches in places. The back has more wear, with remnants of paint and glue, part of an old newspaper clipping plus some writing. But this does not detract from the front of the mould in any way, nor does it alter the stamp quality.
