Rare Antique Bread Fork with Etched Motto

A rare and highly sought after antique silver plated bread fork.

In recent years, it has become very difficult to source cutlery with etched or carved names such as 'Bread' or 'Butter' on them. So this lovely silver plated bread fork is a very scarce piece.

Likely to date from the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries, this silver plated fork is marked although I do not recognise the maker. It is a lovely example, with 'Bread' etched onto the fork section in gothic stylised typography, and the other side with a wheat ear beautifully shown. 

Although there is a little tarnishing which has come with age, this will polish up nicely if desired. The tips of the fork have bent very slightly from use but otherwise this is in lovely condition.
