Pink Transferware French Compotier or Cake Stand

This is a very pretty aged and weathered French terre de fer compote dish, dating from the early 20th Century, with a gorgeous timeworn charm and patina.

With a Longchamp terre de fer mark on its base, this ironstone cake stand has taken on a natural weathered look over the years, with some aged staining and wear. But this complements the pretty pink floral pattern on the piece and is a beautiful timeworn piece.

Most notably, there are a couple of chips to the rim of this stand, as well as some nibbles in places. There is also light staining and discolouration all over and a firing fault to the base of the stand. But it is stable and these faults add unique timeworn charm.
