Large White Ironstone French Soupiere

A gorgeous antique French lidded soupiere bowl with lovely sculpted handles and a finial handle on the lid.

Dating from the early to mid 20th Century, this soupiere is in excellent clean condition. The details of the foliage handles and nut and berries on the lid are beautiful. 

It's in fantastic condition. There is a very faint hairline on the top rim of the base bowl, plus some scuffs here and to the base from use. There are also some firing faults where the glaze hasn't settled on the underside of the lid. But I am picking at these faults. On the whole it is a beautiful piece. 

Perfect for both ongoing use and as a decorative accessory around the home.
